After a
comfortable nights sleep and a hearty Scottish or continental breakfast,
you can choose to discover Mull for yourself, or we can arrange for you
to be escorted around Mull by one of the wildlife, geological or general
tours, by land or sea - many available for much of the year.
Red deer, otters, seals, Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles and an abundance of
other land and sea faring birds are a common sight. Other
activities include; scenic hill walking, fresh water and sea fishing
trips, pony trekking, two golf courses, many sandy beaches and of
course, Mull's neighbouring islands - Iona, Staffa, Ulva and the
Treshnish Isles.
Visit
Tobermory, Mull's 'capital' - recently made famous by the BBC children's
television programme, Balamory! With its characteristic colourful
houses, beautiful natural harbour, distillery, pubs, restaurants and
many other places of interest, this is a great place for a day out.
Mull is also fortunate to have a fascinating history; relics of its
incredible past remain - from standing stones, stone circles and
crannogs, to more recent structures - including Moy Castle and Duart
Castle.
Mull also
boasts several key events during the year - starting in April - Music
Festival; July - West Highland Week (Yachting) and Highland Games;
September - Food Festival and 'Mendelssohn on Mull' (music); and finally
October - 'Tour of Mull' (Mull car rally).
A
visit to Mull will not leave you short of things to do! |
